Stratham is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The town had a population of 7,255 at the 2010 census and an estimated population of 7,280 in 2013. It is bounded on the west by the Squamscott River. The town is the home of the only U.S. Lindt & Sprüngli factory and the headquarters of the Timberland Corporation.
Located just 9 miles Southwest of Portsmouth down Route 33, Stratham offers a slower pace than the Portsmouth. Route 33 offers home to all the services you'll need, from banks, car dealers, restaurants, to supermarkets. Stratham Hill Park is a local favorite for hiking, mountain biking, and walking the dog.
Stratham boarders on Greenland to the North and Exeter to the South. In 2017 the Stratham/Exeter portion of Rt 33 has seen some new growth, with the new restaurants opening, including Grille 110, Tailgate Tavern, and The Thirsty Moose. There has been some new home construction as well in Stratham and Greenland. Stratham is a more affordable option than Portsmouth and some other towns.
